Plant Quality
Stages of manufacture of concrete Concrete pass the following stages in the manufacturing under strict control of quality to get in the end, a high-performance product
Approval of any raw materials will not be done before visiting the Agg. quarries
and the withdrawal of samples which subject to full testing and results compared with
the local or international specifications, then approval of the source of supply, which
is subject to the receipt and follow up.
The receipt of all types of concrete raw materials which based on the approved
samples are visually inspected to allow to get off and will not be used only after
ascertaining their validity.
1. Cement
Unloading in a separate tank After sampling according to the test inspection and
after testing of the samples cement allowed to use or not in concrete depending on the results.
Applying this Procedures for any cementitious additives, such as micro silica or Flay Ash
2. Aggregate (Coarse & Fine)
After Unloading, sampling according to the test inspection plan(Q.C.F28) , testing
of the Agg samples allowed to use or not in concrete depending on the results Applying this Procedures for all types of aggregates used.
3. Water
Tests are performed periodically on the water according to the test inspection plan
whether drinking water or from any other source to make sure of its suitability for
concrete.
4. Chemical admixtures
The receipt of shipments from suppliers based on the Q. C certificate. Samples taken
periodically to ensure the conformity of the material to the samples which were adopted.
1. Coarse Agg
washing machines located in Batch Plant to get rid of dust and salts , Washing of
Agg., storing Agg. in stores which comply with the specifications to prevent
Segregation or overlap between different sizes and shaded by umbrellas to protect the
Agg. from the high temperature .
2. Fine Aggregate
Sand is shaken through screen shaker installed in Plants to prevent the arrival of any
stones to concrete mix.
3. Water
Water storage tanks are isolated to protect water from temperatures or
contamination, and in high temperatures water is cooled by water chillers
Chemical admixtures.
Is stored in tight, white painted tanks and to be confirmed by quality control
engineer to use in – the different mixtures.
The Quality control engineer receive the production order which indicate the client,
location, grade of concrete and the required specifications – personally determine the
appropriate design for this job (which pre-approved by the consultant) and make sure it
is correct on plant computer with ascertain the validity of all raw materials for work
and their conformity with specific requirements for concrete
After producing the first load (Truck) he must be sure that the concrete meets the
required specifications in terms of strength, slump, temperature and./or any other
requirements these procedures is repeated with a different grade or with new client
follow up of concrete will be during the production with the previous procedures,
continuous sampling of concrete to check the (Slump – temperature- the air % – cubes
or cylinders for compressive strength of Concrete.
Will experience Laboratory Technician resides in the site for the following tasks
1. Arrange with the client the concrete intervals.
2. testing of fresh concrete in the site (Slump –
temperature – casting cubes or cylinders) or any other test required.
3. -Coordination and follow up with the plant quality
control engineer confirmed the arrival of the concrete with
the required specifications or request for modification if it is needed.
4. coordination with the quality control,
Implementation or maintenance engineer in the Plant.
According to the specifications required for the mixtures, whether domestic or
foreign prepared and the design of concrete mixtures, according to the quality of the
project, through the Department of Quality Control experiments (TRIALS) reporting of
the results to the consultant to be approved.
